Clean Collective, a cult-favourite beverage brand in New Zealand, partnered with us to take their growth to the next level. With a loyal customer base and strong brand equity already in place, our focus was on two key goals: maximise profitability in their home market and successfully launch the brand in Australia via eCommerce.

Our Brief
Clean Collective, New Zealand’s cult-favourite ready-to-drink brand, partnered with Buttr to scale profitability at home and launch into the competitive Australian market. With minimal brand recognition across the ditch, we needed to build awareness from the ground up—leveraging trend-driven, native creative to resonate with Aussie audiences.
We rolled out a TikTok-first content strategy, aligned digital with OOH for cohesive storytelling, and overhauled their eCommerce backend for cross-market performance. The result? A 3x ROAS, millions of TikTok views, lower CAC, and Clean Collective firmly planted as an emerging player on Australian shelves and screens.

We implemented MER to overcome attribution gaps and guide profitable scaling. Creative strategy was rebuilt for conversion, replacing brand-led assets with performance-driven content tailored to high-intent eCommerce buyers.
The Challenges
Crossing the Tasman posed two major challenges. First, while Clean Collective had strong brand equity in New Zealand, recognition in Australia was minimal. We strategically activated Kiwi brand advocates living in Australia to drive early awareness and organic word-of-mouth.
Second, the brand’s existing eCommerce setup wasn’t equipped for cross-border growth. To compete effectively in the Australian market, we overhauled the backend infrastructure—ensuring a seamless customer experience and scalable digital foundation tailored to local buying behaviour.
The Result
Through a blend of creative ingenuity and strategic execution, Buttr propelled Clean Collective from a Kiwi favourite to an emerging sensation on Australian shores, proving that with the right mix, crossing markets can be as smooth as their sugar-free cocktails.
